Location: Mexico – Remote

Working Hours: 40 hours/week | 10:00–18:30 CDT
Shifts: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday
Salary: $480,000 /year
About the Role

Welocalize is looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Movie & TV Metadata team. This is a hybrid role where you will work directly with movie and TV content while using automation, scripting, AI, and data skills to improve workflows and make processes more efficient.
You'll first learn and contribute to our content workflows, then use your technical skills to identify opportunities and build practical automation solutions.
What You'll Do
- Review and quality-check movie and TV metadata.
- Follow project guidelines, style guides, and quality standards.
- Analyze workflows and identify repetitive or inefficient processes.
- Find opportunities where automation or AI can improve efficiency.
- Build automation and AI-assisted solutions using Python, JavaScript, or similar tools.
- Use data and spreadsheets to analyze performance and track improvements.
- Document solutions and share knowledge with the team.
- Work closely with Project Managers and team leadership to implement improvements.
- Complete tasks accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Strong interest in movies, TV shows, and the entertainment industry.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or another scripting/programming language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills, including formulas, macros, or data analysis.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to understand workflows, identify problems, and develop practical solutions.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable handling repetitive, high-volume tasks.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with automation or AI tools.
- Experience with prompt engineering or AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience in data operations, content review, metadata, localization, or similar fields.
- Familiarity with automation platforms.
- Knowledge of an additional language.
No specific degree or minimum years of experience is required. We are interested in what you can demonstrate through your skills and experience.

- Fully remote, computer-based role.
