This full-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in the field of Internal Medicine during overnight shifts, enhancing the quality of care for our patients.

As a Nocturnist, you will play a vital role in our Medical Practice, ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional healthcare while addressing the challenges that arise in a nocturnal environment. You will collaborate closely with a diverse medical team, contribute to the development of effective treatment plans, and provide expert guidance in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide care for patients admitted to the hospital during nighttime hours
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with specialists and attending physicians
  • Supervise and mentor medical residents and students
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Respond to emergency situations and make critical decisions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case reviews
  • Ensure compliance with medical guidelines and protocols

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree in Medicine
  • Current board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Active state medical license to practice in Tennessee
  • Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to handle multiple patients effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

7on/7off 7p-7a, week starts on Tuesday
- Admits and cross coverage
- FM or IM (with hos experience)
- 300,000k base salary
- 40k quality - individually based
- 10/rvu over 4500 and 38/rvu over 5500
- 30k sign on with comprehensive relocation package
- Typically will have them interview with 2 hospitals
- APP support
