As an Oncologist , you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, utilizing the latest medical advances and technologies. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostics for oncology patients
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Administer chemotherapy and other cancer therapies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options
- Stay current with the latest advancements in oncology
- Participate in clinical trials and research as appropriate
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in internal medicine and fellowship in oncology
- Board certification or eligibility in medical oncology
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in cancer management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate patient care with a focus on quality outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Rotating call shifts
Setting: Outpatient with inpatient call
2 infusion clinics
Case Types: 60-70% oncology and 30-40% hematology
Participate in tumor boards
Current Team: 3 MDs and 2 APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
