**Position Title:** Oncology/Hematology Physician
**Coverage Duration:** Immediate start, pending credentialing, for a 6-month term with the potential for extension.
**Practice Setting:** Outpatient clinic.
**Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
**Clinical Responsibilities:** - Manage a general patient caseload in Oncology and Hematology.
- Perform bone marrow biopsies preferred, though not mandatory.
- Focus on outpatient care; no inpatient responsibilities for acute leukemia cases.
- Care predominantly involves chronic leukemia patients (including chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia).
- Patient demographic: Adult patients.
- Estimated patient volume: Up to 3 patients per hour (40 minutes for new patient evaluations, 20 minutes for follow-ups). - Practice split: 70% oncology, 30% hematology.
**On-Call Requirements:** No on-call responsibilities.
**Provider Support and Staffing:** To be determined.
**Electronic Medical Records:** Utilization of EPIC.
**Credentialing Timeline:** Approximately 90 days from application submission.
**Qualifications Required:** - Board Certification in Oncology and Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Hospital Association).
- Active medical license required.
