. This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care, conducting detailed assessments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care we provide and support the overall health and wellness of our community. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic medical records
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Ensure compliance with practice guidelines and policies

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico
• Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
• Minimal experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Compassionate approach to patient care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and situations
• Hospitalist / Internal Medicine – considering MD or APP

Hospital's average census is 40

about 2-4 admits per day for provider

No procedures required

No ICU

Board certification is required

Mainly vacation coverage

Cred: 48 hours for temps with clean background

Coverage need starts: Aug 1-9

Scattered overage: 13 open shifts in month of August and some days even need 2 FTEs of day shifts

EMR: Paper Charting w/ dragon software

Open to 7 on/7 off in August for the weeks of the 3rd and the 17th.  Then in September, they could accommodate a Wed-Sat schedule as well
