Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations of patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient assessments and treatment plans accurately
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care strategies
- Remain current with best practices in psychiatric care
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant license
- Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings preferred
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations in psychiatric care
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Flexibility to adapt to various patient needs and treatment plans
Schedule: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8:30a-5p
No call or weekends
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Population: Ages 65+
Duties: Follow-up assessments and medication management
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
