This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care in a supportive hospital environment, playing a critical role in patient management and well-being.
As a Locum NP/PA, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and working to optimize patient outcomes within our medical practice. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless healthcare delivery while enriching your experience in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health records
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments
- Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care initiatives
- Assist in the management of patient flow and hospital protocols
- Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
- Associate degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or related field
- Experience in a hospitalist or acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule: 6a-3p, 3- to 5- day blocks
· No call requirement
· 45 beds
· Patient Volume: Rounding on ~10-12 patients per day, ~10 admissions, and ~2 consults
· Patient Population: Elderly
· Case Types: Low to medium acuity
· Must be board-certified
· Paid travel & expenses
