Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced ED environment.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and emergent conditions independently and collaboratively.
  • Perform procedures within scope (e.g., suturing, splinting, I&D, wound care, joint reductions depending on facility).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Assignment Details

  • Schedule: 9a-6p, 11a-9p, or 4p-12a
  • Facility: 20 ED beds (16 main, 4 fast track)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Must be board-certified
  • Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

  • Active NP or PA license with ability to practice in Massachusetts
  • National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
  • Strong procedural skills and comfort managing high‑acuity patients
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and teamwork abilities
