In this role, you will provide essential care to patients in critical condition, collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality treatment. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes and ensuring a seamless healthcare experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical care settings
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and health management
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Document patient conditions and treatment responses accurately
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care

Requirements

  • Associate degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
  • Current licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee
  • Experience in critical care settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of electronic health record systems
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable

Schedule: 7p-7a, specific dates

Nightly Volume: 12 patients

Required Procedures: Intubations, central line placements, arterial line placements

Support Staff: MDs and APPs

Must be board-certified

BLCS & ACLS required

Paid travel and expenses
