Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical care settings
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and health management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Document patient conditions and treatment responses accurately
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care
Requirements
- Associate degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
- Current licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee
- Experience in critical care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable
Schedule: 7p-7a, specific dates
Nightly Volume: 12 patients
Required Procedures: Intubations, central line placements, arterial line placements
Support Staff: MDs and APPs
Must be board-certified
BLCS & ACLS required
