As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in patient care, working closely with our cardiology specialists to deliver high-quality healthcare services. You will see a diverse patient population and be involved in key diagnostic and treatment processes within our practice. This role contributes significantly to improving cardiovascular health outcomes in our community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
  • Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement patient care plans under the supervision of cardiology physicians
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health and lifestyle changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the medical record
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of Texas
  • Experience in cardiology preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of cardiac health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Patient Volume: 2-16 per day

No hospital bedside care, procedures, or cath lab

Duties: Supervise technicians, perform patient assessments, develop and manage cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation plans, monitor patient progress

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Scottcare Versacare Software

Must be board-certified

ACLS and BLS required

English/Spanish proficiency preferred

Paid travel and expenses
