As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals. This role allows you to play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses, ultimately enhancing patient treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays and MRIs
- Interpret imaging results and provide accurate reports
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss patient care strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulations in radiology
- Assist in patient management and treatment planning
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technologies and practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements
- Valid MD license and board certification in Radiology
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinical radiology setting
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging techniques and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 80-100 cases
Case Types: Bread and butter cases, reading for ED
Procedures: Swallows and fluoroscopy, no breast or MSK
PACS: InteleViewer
Dictation: Nuance
Must be board-certified
