As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various mental health disorders. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver quality care and contribute to patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
- Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in psychiatric practice
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- State medical license to practice psychiatry
- Strong clinical skills and experience in psychiatric evaluation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate approach towards patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
Schedule: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8:30a-5p
No call or weekends
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Population: Ages 65+
Duties: Follow-up assessments and medication management
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
