This is a contract, on-site position that provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community through high-quality eye care services.

As a Locum MD in Ophthalmology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of eye conditions, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and contributing to our commitment to excellence in medical care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and screenings.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including cataract surgery.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals for holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Educate patients and their families about eye health and treatment options.
  • Respond to medical inquiries and provide expert advice.
  • Stay current with advancements in ophthalmic technology and medical practices.

Requirements

  • MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Associate-level experience in Ophthalmology.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating eye diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Patient Census: 8-12 per day

EMR: RPMS

Any state license accepted

Must be board-certified

BLS certification required

Paid travel & expenses
