This is a contract, on-site position that provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community through high-quality eye care services.
As a Locum MD in Ophthalmology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of eye conditions, performing surgical procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and contributing to our commitment to excellence in medical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and screenings.
- Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including cataract surgery.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals for holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Educate patients and their families about eye health and treatment options.
- Respond to medical inquiries and provide expert advice.
- Stay current with advancements in ophthalmic technology and medical practices.
Requirements
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from an accredited institution.
- Associate-level experience in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating eye diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Patient Census: 8-12 per day
EMR: RPMS
Any state license accepted
Must be board-certified
BLS certification required
