This contract position provides a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for providing exceptional obstetrical and gynecological care, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. You will work closely with our skilled team to manage patient consultations, conduct examinations, and develop treatment plans that align with best practices in women's health.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments
- Provide prenatal, postnatal, and reproductive health care
- Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries as required
- Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to optimize patient care
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency procedures as needed
- Stay updated on advancements in the Ob/Gyn field
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active medical license in the relevant state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Ob/Gyn field
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication and patient interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
Average Daily Volume: 15-20 triage patients
Average Annual Deliveries: ~4,100 total
Duties: Managing TOLACs, operative vaginal deliveries, and performing gynecologic surgeries
Support Staff: CNMs
Must be board-certified
