As a Locum MD, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with hematological and oncological conditions. Your contributions will be essential in managing patient care, collaborating closely with a team of healthcare professionals, and adhering to best practices in a supportive environment. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and consultations
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options
• Conduct research and stay current with advancements in hematology oncology
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately
• Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of hematological and oncological disorders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards
• Active medical license in the state of practice

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:40p

Setting: Primarily outpatient, some inpatient consults

Patient Census: 10-12 per day in clinic, <5 inpatient consults

Patient Population: Adults

Case Mix: 60% medical oncology, 40% hematology oncology

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
