As a Trauma Surgeon, you will play a vital role in the surgical intervention and management of trauma patients. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest levels of patient care and safety. Your contributions will be integral to our mission of delivering top-quality medical services within the community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage trauma patients in need of surgical intervention
  • Perform surgical procedures and post-operative care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress during recovery
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as required
  • Stay current with advancements in trauma surgery techniques
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Valid medical license in the state of practice
  • Completion of a residency program in General Surgery
  • Board certification in Trauma Surgery (preferred)
  • Strong surgical skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
  • Level I Trauma

Schedule: 24-hour in-house and beeper call shifts, 6a-6a

Admissions: 40-80 per day

Patient Population: Adults

Duties: Trauma and acute care surgery

Support Staff: NP, PA

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

ATLS required, BLS and DEA preferred

Paid travel & expenses
