As a Locum Radiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and interpreting medical images, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures and interpret results
- Consult with medical professionals to discuss imaging findings
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated with advancements and best practices in radiology
- Participate in quality assurance and safety protocols
- Provide education and support to patients regarding imaging procedures
- Adhere to medical standards and comply with legal regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- A valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
- Experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in a clinical setting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of radiological technology and techniques
- Commitment to continuing education and staying current in the field
Schedule: 4-5 days per week
Average Annual Volume: ~4,363 wRVUs and ~1K procedures
Daily Volume: 20-25 diagnostic reads, 4-5 procedures
Case Types: Diagnostics, biopsies, and screenings
Required Procedures: Breast biopsies (US + vacuum-assisted), needle localization, and axillary ultrasound work
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
