As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering timely and accurate imaging interpretations that are vital for patient care. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
- Interpret radiological images and provide accurate reports
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings and recommendations
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to case discussions
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and practices
- Provide guidance and support to medical staff regarding imaging protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and imaging results
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency training in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Strong knowledge of radiological techniques and safety standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 4-5 days per week
Average Annual: ~4,363 wRVUs and ~1K procedures
Daily Volume: 20-25 diagnostic reads, 4-5 procedures
Case Types: Diagnostics, biopsies, and screenings
Required Procedures: Breast biopsies (US + vacuum-assisted), needle localization, and axillary ultrasound work
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
