As a Locum Neurologist, you will play a crucial role in providing neurological assessments, diagnoses, and treatments. You will work closely with our medical staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients, contributing to health improvement and quality of life in the community. This role not only allows you to enhance your clinical skills but also provides valuable insights into the operational aspects of neurology care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct neurological assessments and create treatment plans
• Diagnose and manage neurological disorders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Provide consultation and support to referring physicians
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in neurology
• Educate patients and families on neurological conditions and treatments
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Board certification in Neurology or eligibility
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
• Strong clinical knowledge in neurology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care
• Prior experience in a medical practice setting is preferred
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
• No call requirement

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 20-25 patients

Case Types: Neuromuscular and seizure disorders, memory loss, CVA/TIA, neuropathy, migraine, and apnea/sleep difficulties

No in-office procedures required

Appointments: 40 minutes for new patients, 20 minutes for follow-ups

Must be board-certified
