 This contract position offers an on-site working model, allowing you to engage directly with patients and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.

As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive inpatient care and will be involved in a variety of cases that showcase your medical expertise. Our medical practice prides itself on delivering high-quality healthcare services, and your contributions will be invaluable in enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care decisions
  • Facilitate patient discharges and outpatient follow-ups
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and regulations for patient safety
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development activities

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Active medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
  • Previous experience in a hospitalist or inpatient care setting preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care

Schedule: 8a-6p

Call Requirement: 6p-8a

Up to 5 calls per night

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel and expenses
