As a Locum MD/DO in Hematology Oncology, you will diagnose and treat patients with blood disorders and cancer, collaborating with specialists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes within our practice.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat patients with hematological diseases and oncology conditions
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and modify treatment protocols as necessary
  • Participate in patient education and counseling regarding treatment options
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient encounters
  • Stay current with advancements in hematology and oncology diagnoses and treatments
  • Engage in peer reviews and case discussions to enhance team knowledge and patient care
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards within the practice

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
  • Associate-level experience in a clinical environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills and patient assessment capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and healthcare improvement
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday

Shift Information: 8a-5p

No call requirement

118 beds

Daily Volume: 12-15 patients

Responsibilities: Evaluation and treatment of hematologic disorders, medical oncology management, chemotherapy oversight, immunotherapy management, etc

Case Types: Mix of new consults, established patients, active hematology and oncology treatment, and surveillance care

Support Staff: APPs and Nurse Navigators

Must be board-certified
