As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical emergencies. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients.
  • Diagnose and treat acute health issues effectively.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and medical teams for coordinated patient care.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate medical interventions.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to established protocols and best practices in emergency medicine.

Requirements

  • MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred.
  • Associate-level experience in emergency medical settings.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current medical licensure to practice in the relevant state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

No call requirement

Patient Volume: 20-40 per day, 10k annually

Support Staff: Respiratory therapist and anesthesiologist

EMR: MedHost

Must be board-certified

ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required
