Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with cardiovascular diseases
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Stay current with evolving cardiological practices and treatments
- Engage in follow-up care and patient education initiatives
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in medical staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide mentorship and training to other healthcare staff as needed
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology
- At least 2 years of cardiology experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Current medical licensure in the state of practice
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call, Monday 4:30p to the weekend
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Volume: 16 per day
Duties: Cath lab procedures, stress tests, echo reads, consults for phone calls
Support Staff: NP and a team of fellows
Must be board-certified
