As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in managing anesthesia care for a diverse patient population, particularly children undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute directly to the safety and comfort of our patients, and you'll work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering exceptional medical services.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical teams on anesthesia care plans
- Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patient health and anesthesia risks
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management and recovery monitoring
- Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology techniques
- Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia processes and safety measures
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current medical license to practice in Lebanon
- Board certification in Anesthesiology; Pediatric Anesthesiology is preferred
- Experience in anonsite anesthesiology practice, particularly with pediatric cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a medical team
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities
- Level I Trauma
Schedule: 10-12-hour weekday shifts
Offsite call
Patient Population: Neonatal and up
Diverse case mix, including general surgery, trauma, maxillofacial, neurosurgery, cardiac, etc.
Pediatric Cases: Neonatal, general surgery, craniofacial, ENT, urologic, plastic, orthopedic
Support Staff: MD/DOs, CRNAs and residents
100% supervision
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
