As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in providing anesthetic care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their surgical experience. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary
• Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to determine anesthetic protocols
• Provide preoperative assessments and consultations
• Manage postoperative care and address any complications
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices
• Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• Valid medical license in the state of Louisiana
• Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

No call required

Care team model with slight supervision of CRNAs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

ABA Required
