As a Locum MD in Critical Care, you will play a vital role in managing patients with critical illnesses. Your expertise will ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care during their time of need. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services that are pivotal to our practice's mission and goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in various clinical settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Perform necessary medical procedures and utilize advanced technology
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required
- Participate in emergency response situations as needed
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records
- Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Missouri
- Previous experience in Critical Care preferred
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Availability for flexible scheduling and on-call duties
- Level I Trauma
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off
No call requirement
20-bed critical care unit
Case Types: High acuity
Support Staff: Resident and APP
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
