**Program Overview: Dates - 8/23-8/29**

We are seeking a provider for an APP/ED Hybrid role at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Durand, WI, which operates under Trauma Level IV guidelines.

 The position involves comprehensive coverage for both the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient floor, where the provider will function as a sole provider on-site.

**Key Details:** - **Coverage Schedule**: The provider will work consecutive 24-hour shifts from noon to noon, with transition handoffs. -

 **Orientation**: Mandatory orientation on Friday, 8/21.

- **Call Requirement**: 24/7 call coverage is included in the daily responsibilities.

**Clinical Environment:** - **Average ED Census**: 8-14 patients per 24 hours, with an annual volume of approximately 1,800 visits.

- **Inpatient Census**: Generally 4-6 patients.

- **Available Ancillary Support**:  - Imaging: Monday through Friday with on-call availability.  

- Laboratory Services: Monday through Friday with on-call support.

**Additional Services**: - Routine RT/CT services available Monday-Friday.

- Ultrasound services during business hours with on-call options.

**Team Interaction**: Daily interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.

**Patient Acuity**: The facility manages patients who are stable within the ED and can be treated in a medical/surgical nursing setting.

**Technology**: The electronic medical record (EMR) system in use is Epic.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of two years of experience in Emergency Medicine.

- Demonstrated ability to perform all relevant emergency procedures.

- Comfort with inpatient care dynamics. - Active Wisconsin medical license is required.

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Position classified as Independent Contractor (1099).

- Malpractice insurance is provided through RPG.

- On-site accommodations include two sleep rooms equipped with a queen bed, private bathroom, and desk space.

**Operational Notes**: - Typical shift ends at noon, although availability until 3 PM is expected in case of travel disruptions for the incoming provider.

- Average nightly callbacks are not applicable, as this role entails 24-hour solo coverage

. - Administrative provisions include on-site sleeping amenities such as an apartment for providers alongside an additional sleep room.

- Credentialing will allow temporary privileges, and licensing expeditions are available; however, a valid Wisconsin license is mandatory.
