Position Overview
A well‑established healthcare facility in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its anesthesia care team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high‑quality anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures (general, ortho, GI, OB, and more depending on facility).
- Conduct pre‑anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and MAC anesthesia.
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and manage post‑anesthesia recovery.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols and regulatory standards.
Position Details
- Schedule: 10 or 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- On-site weekend call
- Patient Population: Adults
- Daily Case Volume: 5-6 cases per provider
- Case Types: General, OB, vascular, orthopedic, and pediatric
- Skillsets Required: Adults, spinals, epidurals, and OB
- Skillsets Preferred: Pediatrics, regional, complex vascular, and complex orthopedic
- Care team model
- EMR: Epic
- Must be board-certified
- DEA required
- Paid travel & expenses
Qualifications
- Active CRNA certification (NBCRNA)
- Current Virginia RN and APRN licenses (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1–2 years of anesthesia experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse case load
