Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare team members to evaluate patient needs
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and provide patient education regarding the anesthesia process
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the operating room
- Manage post-anesthesia care and address any complications
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia procedures and patient records
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies
Requirements
- Active CRNA license in the state of Florida
- Prior experience in an anesthesiology practice preferred
- Strong understanding of anesthesia pharmacology
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma
Schedule: 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
582 med/surg beds, 40 ICU beds
39 onsite anesthetizing locations
Diverse caseload
Must be comfortable with pediatric patients
