Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A truck and transport goods to designated locations.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and schedules.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle operation.
  • Transport freight in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that delivery schedules are met.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately and submit on time.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
  • Participate in training sessions and safety meetings as required.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers and represent the company professionally.
  • Be available for occasional overnight trips as required by the schedule.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a Class A driver, preferably in a freight or commercial setting.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues on the road.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads when necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility in work hours and routes; open to overtime as needed.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
